US 60 in Carter County: Kentucky’s Most Dangerous Road for Motorcyclists

US 60 in Carter County witnessed 19 motorcycle crashes in the year 2024, more than any other highway in the state. Some of the reasons why crashes are so common on this road are high speed limits, sharp turns, and substantial truck traffic.

US 27 in Pendleton County and US 42 in Boone County registered high numbers of crashes, due perhaps to speeds on the highway, inadequate lighting on the street, and smaller traffic control device counts.
