Guys, take a hint from the ladies. The statistics show that males are worse drivers than women when it comes to dangerous driving, distracted driving, fatal accidents and accidents involving alcohol. Here are some important stats you should know:
- There were 5,657,000 motor vehicle accidents in 2013
- 23,127 males were involved in fatal accidents in 2013
- 9,579 females were involved in fatal accidents in 2013
- Males between 16-29 have the highest fatality rates of any age group
- In 2013, the rates of passenger vehicle occupant deaths were much higher among males than among females for every age group except 0-15 years
- Females are more likely than males to be killed or injured in crashes of equal severity
- There were 15,530 driver deaths (10,927 for men and 4,600 for women) that involved drunk driving
While this quiz is a game, driving is not. Don't become another statistic. Drive safe.
